Referred off-site transitional housing offers a sober, stable sanctuary for out-of-town clients and for those rebuilding their lives after the structure of formal treatment. The separation between where you live and where you do your clinical work is intentional. It mirrors the rhythm of healthy daily life, helps reinforce the new patterns you are building, and gives you space to decompress, reflect, and rest without the weight of outside stressors.
Comfortable Accommodations: Choose from private or semi-private rooms in a peaceful San Diego neighborhood, just steps from the ocean. The setting was selected with intention. Coastal walks, ocean air, and quiet residential streets all create natural opportunities for grounding and reflection.
24/7 Structure and Support: Trained house managers are on site around the clock to provide consistency, accountability, and a steady presence. Daily life is shaped by gentle but clear guidelines, including curfews, shared meals, household responsibilities, regular check ins, and random drug and alcohol screenings to support sober living. This structure is not about restriction. It is about rebuilding the routines, discipline, and reliability that addiction often erodes, and doing so in a community of people who understand what you are working through.
Integrated Recovery Experience: Because the housing is closely coordinated with our PHP and IOP programs, the handoff between treatment and home life is seamless. Transportation to and from program sessions is arranged so you can stay focused on the work rather than the logistics. The homes also offer on site amenities that support your recovery between sessions, including quiet lounges, outdoor spaces, and areas for yoga, meditation, journaling, and other self care practices. Evenings often include peer led discussions, recovery meetings, shared meals, and time to simply connect with housemates who are walking the same path.
Relocation and Community Integration Support: For clients who are open to making San Diego their new home for the duration of treatment, or even longer, we provide hands on support throughout the transition. This includes help coordinating travel, navigating insurance and benefits across state lines, finding local recovery meetings and sponsorship, connecting with primary care and other providers, and gradually building a sober support network in the area. Our goal is to remove as much friction as possible so you can arrive, settle in, and begin focusing on what matters most.
Transitional housing turns recovery into the foundation for your next chapter. You are surrounded by people who understand the work, supported by a structure that protects your progress, and grounded in a community that has walked the same road you are walking now.
